Mary trained at Corona Theatre School and made her professional debut at the age of eleven, playing Pepper in the West End production of Annie. Other theatre credits include lead roles in Bugsy Malone, Hello Dolly! and Cinderella. She has also appeared in various theatre, television and radio productions. 



Mary went on to teach for Stagecoach for four years, where she created their Early Stages programme.  She then taught Jazz and Tap at Corona and co-ordinated pupils’ LAMDA Acting examinations. Alongside her work for Corona, Mary introduced Drama lessons at Bishopsgate School, directing all school productions for children aged four to thirteen.

Amelia trained at Central School of Speech and Drama and has extensive experience in working with children and young people. Her acting credits include Polly (Crazy for You), Swallow (Whistle Down the Wind), Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Molly (Fat Club the Musical) and Lipochka (A Family Affair). She has presented for Radio Jackie and she was nominated for the Verity Bargate Award for new playwrights in 2011. 

She has taught Drama to pupils aged 8 to 18 for nine years. Her directing credits with On-Stage Now include all four summer cabarets, A Very Scary Christmas, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth, Frost and Gingerbread. Prior to joining On-Stage Now, her directing credits include Pygmalion (Corona Theatre School) , A Doll's House (Corona Theatre School), Guys and Dolls (Hampton Hill Playhouse), Anything Goes (Corona Theatre School), The Railway Children (Hampton Hill Playhouse) and The Wiz (Bishopsgate School). Amelia is a qualified primary teacher and seizes every opportunity to educate her class about musical theatre (even when teaching fractions).

 

Dream Role: Elphaba in Wicked

Favourite Musicals: Wicked, Funny Girl and School of Rock

In 2005 Mary was awarded a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre Directing.  She has since directed productions at the BAC, the Canal Cafe Theatre and The King’s Head.  She directed and produced three productions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, two of which played to sell-out audiences and received five-star reviews.
 

Mary returned to teach Drama at Corona in 2006 and was delighted to become School Principal in 2010.
